Full Length Play Competition

March - August 2008
Our annual full length play competition runs from March until August every year, and is open to any member society. An adjudicator travels to the society's venue to view and adjudicate a performance during the production's normal season. The competition culminates in the Antoinettes Awards, held in September (see below).

Festival of Community Theatre

The Festival of Community Theatre is a national competition open to all members of the New Zealand Theatre Federation. Entries must be in the form of a short play, from 15 to 50 minutes in length, with no fewer than 2 performers. For each level of the competition, the organising body provides an adjudicator who will judge each play and select one or more entries to proceed to the next level of the competition, as well as making special awards to deserving entries.
